El Dorado Complex

Camino – Due to the significant wind event on Thursday and anticipated winds over the weekend, CAL FIRE has increased staffing and resources to meet the needs of local fire activity. Currently there are 25 engines, 15 hand crews 2 water tenders and 272 personnel on the fire lines.

In El Dorado County the status of the fires are as follows:
The Sciaroni Fire in the Grizzly Flats area is 80 acres and 80% contained
The Groovy Fire off Hwy 50 and Plum Creek Rd is 44 acres and 80% contained
The Onyx/Creek Fires in the Pollock Pines area are 20 acres and 80% contained.
The Kirk Fire at Stinson Road in the Omo Ranch area is 5 acres and 90% contained.
The Omo Fire near Slug Gulch is 3 acres and 100% contained.
The Grizzly Fire at Sweeney Road is 3 acres and 100% contained.
The Eagle Fire off Grizzly Flat Road is 3 acres and 100% contained.
The Meadow Fire in the Pollock Pines area is 1 acre and 100% contained.
The Winward Fire in the Diamond Springs area is 1 acre and 100% contained.

CAL FIRE crews will remain on the fires until they are fully contained. Residents may see or smell smoke for several weeks due to smoldering vegetation well within the fire containment lines.
