Highway 49 near his home. Defensible space was a key factor to save residences. The Log Town
FSC meeting held shortly after the fire had a very good attendance.
Jim Stewart reported on efforts to develop an El Dorado Hills FSC. It has been
difficult to stimulate interest and develop defensible space throughout the community.
Mary Cornelison reported that removal of fire screens from chimneys and failure
to remove vegetation around propane tanks were the most noted violations of defensible space
in her area.
Janet Gastaldi reported that Red Flag Day information is available through the
National Weather Service Forecast Office. The information is current. Make available on the
EDCFSC web site?
